Violin concerto No. 2

The formal rigour and cantabile style of Giulani’s compositions, especially the concertos, reveal the influence of his teacher Nardini. The Second Violin Concerto, here in an arrangement for solo violin and keyboard, was composed in 1785 and published the same year in London by William Foster. It is in three movements and calls for a Neapolitan orchestra of strings, two oboes and two horns. Here in an effective arrangement for violin and keyboard.
